Sentimental (2026) is a series of mixed-media sculptures using papier-mâché and other materials, developed and adapted in response to the exhibition space and in interaction with the artist’s scent-making practice. Continuing my exploration of paper beyond the two-dimensional surface, the sculptures appear simultaneously organic and constructed, evoking rocks, terrains, objects, or forms that have lost their original functions and names. They inhabit an uncertain space between the familiar and the yet-to-be-defined. Here, paper becomes both material and a surface of accumulation. Through processes of layering, deformation, and reconstruction, it carries traces of time and of its own previous states.
